We offer Life Skills classes, Job Skills Classes, Culinary Classes, Graphic Design Classes and a variety of technology classes. Our Technology classes will teach them technical skills including Web Design, Coding, 3D Printing, Basic Computer Skills, Microsoft Office and STEM

Responsibilities

Responsible for teaching life skills classes to adults with special needs.

  • Assist in developing a curriculum for budgeting, financial literacy, goal setting, self-awareness, interpersonal communication, time management, etc.
  • Develop social and life skills needed for personal and professional success.
  • Assist in identifying problems and finding creative solutions.
  • Ability to understand different emotions and build self-confidence with each participant.
  • Develop an inclusive approach that involves all participants regardless of skill level.
  • Ensure that all activities comply with safety protocols.
  • Effectively communicates with individuals to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Contribute to a safe and welcoming environment for participants.
  • Maintain accurate records of participants in the classes.
  • Monitor participants’ overall health and well-being.
Qualifications
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy and patience towards individuals with special needs.
  • Candidate should have a high level of critical thinking- be able to evaluate information and make informed decisions.
  • Problem-Solving- Candidate should be able to identify problems, analyze and find creative solutions.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial literacy.
  • Experience working with young adults or adults with special needs is a plus.
